How to Measure
Method 1 - String or Paper Wrap
- 1Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string approximately 10 cm long.
- 2Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you wish to measure, the knuckle should be the widest point it passes over.
- 3Mark where the paper or string overlaps with a pen.
- 4Lay it flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimetres. This is your circumference.
- 5Divide the circumference by 3.14 (π) to find your diameter in millimetres, then use the table below to find your size.
Method 2 - Measure an Existing Ring
- 1Take a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
- 2Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter, the distance across the inside of the band, in millimetres.
- 3Use the conversion table below to find your size.
Tips for an Accurate Measurement
- Measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest.
- Avoid measuring when fingers are cold or swollen.
- Measure the specific finger the ring will be worn on, sizes vary between fingers and hands.
- If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
- Wide bands fit more snugly, if your ring has a band wider than 6 mm, consider going half a size up.
