From the bird's beak extends a golden branch bearing hand-carved natural coral blossoms, each petal shaped by hand, their blush tones a counterpoint to the fire of the rubies. Tsavorite leaves of vivid forest green complete the botanical tableau, their colour drawn from the same earth that yields Ceylon's finest gems.

The composition culminates in a celestial orb: a lattice of twisted 18 carat gold rope, set throughout with blue sapphires, tsavorite and diamonds, a universe contained within a sphere, suspended from the branch as though the hummingbird itself has placed it there.
